Australian Manufacturing Excellence - ArpTech is a premier Australian-owned manufacturing partner based in Melbourne. Specialising in precision CNC machining, we have bridged the gap between design and production since 2001. We deliver high-fidelity prototypes and short-run components to a diverse range of global industries, including Robotics & Automation, Electronics, Electrical, Medical devices, Scientific Instrumentation, Automotive and Industrial sectors.
We value Our ClientsTrusted Global Partners - We understand that clear communication and reliability are critical for international projects. Our business is built on long-term partnerships with engineers who value a seamless manufacturing experience. We function as your dedicated partner, managing the supply chain to ensure quality outcomes and accountability through a single, professional point of contact.
Quality assuranceRigorous Inspection Standards - Quality is not a variable; it is our process. We implement strict inspection protocols and metrology checks at every stage of production to ensure your parts meet exact dimensional tolerances and functional specifications, regardless of complexity.
Popular RP Materials at a glance
CNC (Aluminium)
Aluminium is the most widely used non-ferrous metal. Aluminium is a soft, Durable, Lightweight, Ductile and Malleable metal with appearance ranging from Silvery to Dull Grey, depending on the surface roughness. Aluminium naturally generates a protective oxide coating and is highly corrosion resistant.
FDM - 3DP (ABS or PLA)
FDM parts are built into layers using various grades of thermoplastics. Typically FDM parts have layering steps on side walls which can be smoothened by post processing operation. FDM parts are strong and durable make them suitable for form, fit and functional testing. We use ABS and PLA resins on FDM 3D printers.
CNC (Clear Acrylic)
Also known as PMMA (PolyMethyl-MetaAcrylate) is an amorphous thermoplastic material with very good optical properties. Acrylic is often used as a glass substitute because of excellent optical clarity, Good Abrasion Resistance and environmental stability.
SLA (DSM Somos 14120)
DSM Somos 14120 is a low viscosity liquid photopolymer that produces strong, tough and water-resistant parts having a white, opaque appearance. Somos 14120 offers many properties that mimic traditional engineering plastics including ABS and PBT, makes it ideal for many applications.
CNC - ABS
CNC ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is general purpose rigid Thermoplastic with a combination of properties that make it ideal for the wide range of applications. Smooth finish, High impact strength and Stiffness, Good Dimensional Stability. Easy to glue, paint or Chrome Plated.
SLS - NYLON
SLS also known as Selective Laser Sintering, primarily used to quickly produce three dimensional parts, layer by layer, from powdered materials. The CO2 Laser provides a concentrated heating which welds (sinters) the powder within a precisely controlled chamber. SLS has distinctive advantage of having wide variety of materials that can be suitable for functional analysis.
PU - RUBBER
VC (Vacuum Casting) is typically used for casting prototypes out of polyurethane resins. The process starts with creation of master model, using various RP techniques. This master model is used to build a silicon rubber mould. Now these mould cavities are used to cast large variety of polyurethane or epoxy materials available.

Rapid Prototyping
Accelerate Your Product Development Turn your digital designs into physical reality in days, not weeks. Our rapid prototyping services allow you to test form, fit, and function early in the design cycle, reducing risk and helping you validate concepts before committing to production tooling.
3D Printing
Industrial Additive Manufacturing From visual models to complex functional parts, we offer a comprehensive range of 3D printing technologies. We bridge the gap between concept and production with high-resolution prints in diverse materials, optimized for accuracy and build speed.
CNC Machining
Precision Subtractive Manufacturing Our core specialty. We deliver high-fidelity functional parts machined directly from engineering-grade plastics and metals. Ideal for tight tolerances, isotropic strength, and short-run production where surface finish and material properties are non-negotiable.
FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling)
Durable Thermoplastic Parts The cost-effective choice for robust functional testing. We print in real thermoplastics like ABS, PLA, making FDM ideal for jigs, fixtures, and sturdy prototypes that need to withstand mechanical stress during fit and function analysis.
SLA (Stereolithography)
High-Fidelity Visual Models When aesthetic detail is paramount. SLA produces parts with exceptional surface smoothness and fine feature resolution. It is the gold standard for master patterns, concept models, and visual verification where "look and feel" matters most.
VC (Vacuum Casting)
Short-Run Production Bridge The smart alternative to injection moulding for quantities of 15 to 100+ units. We cast high-quality polyurethane resins that mimic the performance of production plastics and rubber, delivering market-ready parts without expensive steel tooling.
